7 months, first tooth, and sitting up

It has been a busy week for this little baby! Got his first tooth, that only took about 3 months to get.(it seems that way anyway) And finally has just about mastered the whole sitting up thing. He thinks he is something else getting to sit up with his brothers! Hopefully he will just enjoy sitting for awhile and have no desire to get anywhere...haha! It will all be over once he is mobil!

Laundry Basket

It's the new play-pin! At least to Mason...he had this grand idea to put Cullen in it and let him play. Cullen really liked it and stayed in there a long time. I got a lot done and he was just as happy as could be. Good thing he is easy going! Good idea Mason :)

2nd Grade Field Trip

I took off last week to go with Braxton on his field trip to Old Baker Farm. It was fabulous and so organized. Braxton was so excited just because our friends Ryan and Leah live on the farm and help out on the weekends, and Leah's parents run it/manage it. Braxton enjoyed the special attention from the Baker's while we were there and thought he was something getting to show everyone around. We love going out there and it is always a blast. My boys absolutely love the outdoors and the freedom to roam that they experience there. I am sure we will be making it back there soon.

6 Month Well-Check

Look at that pitiful baby!! What was supposed to be a well-check ended with a pretty bad ear infection for this sweet boy. He had to go back the next week to get his shots because he was sick, and now 2 1/2 weeks later he is still on antibiotics. The first round wasn't working for him so he had to get something stronger. So hopefully they are working, we will find out when he goes back next week for his 2nd flu shot.

6 month stats:
height 281/4 inches
weight 19.3 lbs
head 17 1/2 inches in comparison with his brothers at 6 months he is a little smaller than Braxton was and a good bit smaller than our Mason (Mason has just always been on the "thick" side)
taking about 7 oz every 3 to 4 hours
eating 1 stage 2 breakfast and 2 stage 2 dinners!! So far we haven't found anything that he doesn't like!
size 3 diapers
size 9-12 mos clothes
talking and laughing all the time, beautiful big smile (most of the time) loves to be outside. Loves his new swing he has on the swing set.
I love to hear him first thing in the morning talking in his bed and the big gummy grin I get when I peak over the crib! Ahh...the little things!!!
He started daycare a few weeks ago and so far has done well. They take very good care of him and he has plenty of little friends there that come by and check on him :)
HAPPY 6 MONTHS our precious baby boy!! We love you so much!!

Here we go Mason, Here we go!!

That is the chant this little slugger has waited 2 years to hear!! He was grinning from ear to ear at his first practice when he heard people cheering for him. He loves it!! They have had several games so far and he has done fantastic. He has literally been swinging a bat since he could walk and he has been hitting off the pitching machine for over a year now. He bypassed t-ball and went straight into junior machine pitch. His little team is TINY!! They are so cute and most of them have no clue what is going on but they are fun to watch. Mason is on first base and has made many outs already!! I am so glad that he finally gets to do his own thing instead of always having to watch Braxton! I love watching him...always ready on the field, hitting the ball, and learning what to do when the ball comes his way. I am not nearly as stressed out watching him as I am with Braxton. They are so different, both very good at sports, but very different in the way that they handle themselves under pressure!! Mason, we are so glad that you are getting to play ball, you have waited so  long and you have been so patient! We are looking forward to watching you! I love that silly grin when I give you a thumbs up or when you hear us cheer your name...when you are happy I am happy!

All About Me....

AGAIN!! Must we have to do this project every single year??? And we cannot even use the same one because each teacher changes it up just enough to have to redo everything! Well this year Braxton and Mason have one due on the same day...Friday. So we got busy on them at the beginning of the week so we could get them turned in and out of the way. I really do not love a project, can you tell? Usually I end up doing it all...but this year I just let go of it (most of it) and let them do it.
Braxton had to do a banner. Decorating the front and back with anything he wanted to represent him and what he likes to do. He wanted to do a BAMA banner...shocker I know. He painted it, and taped his pictures and stickers on it. I glued a hounds tooth piece of paper to the edge and viola...DONE! He gets an actual grade for this so I can't wait to see what he gets. It is a good thing his teacher is a Bama fan :)
On the front of the banner he put a picture of his new baby brother and his best friend Mason, a picture of him playing baseball, an Alabama sticker, yoo-hoo label (his favorite drink), and skittles (favorite candy). He could have gone on and on all day but thank goodness the banner was not very big!! He has lots of things going on right now and has many, many favorites. He just chose a few!!
On this side, A picture of Braxton at the beach, swimming with his friends, fishing, a football sticker and a picture of cheese (one of his favorite foods)
Mason had to decorate a paper bag and fill it with 6 items that tell about him. This was a little difficult being that Mason likes to do lots of things!! But he decided on his 6 and put them in the bag. Wish I could be there when he gets to share...should be quite interesting.

He chose a picture of his brothers, one that he is wearing a baseball uniform in because he loves his brothers and he likes to play baseball. A ceramic "Lucy". A picture of a Honey Bun, because he loves them. A car because that is just about the only thing he plays with. Picture of a yoo-hoo...his favorite drink. And a piece of bubble gum...he is just his mama. Loves his bubble gum!
Good job boys!! I would definitely give you an A+!!
