Field Trip to Lanark

Today I went with Braxton on his field trip to Lanark...why he wanted me there, I don't know. For one he didn't want me to walk beside him. He said I needed to walk in the back where the other parents were and two this was such a DADDY kind of place!!! Regardless it was a fantastic day and probably one of the best field trips that he has been on. It was a great learning experience for all of them. The guides there were so nice and very patient with the kids. They really knew there stuff!!
The kids got to learn about different types of insects and why they were so important in the pond. They were given a net and a bowl and headed down to the pond to explore and see what they could find.

Looking at all their "critters"...the girls even got into it! (You can see Braxton's teacher's beautiful pink cast in the background...bless her heart she just couldn't stand to let her kids go without her, she LOVES them and they adore her as well)

They have their waders on and are ready to go deep in the pond to see what else they can catch in their nets.

How cute are they??? AND only one went under!! I just knew there would be more :)

Another trail, learning about different trees and plants

This was my favorite part...the creek walk. The kids had the best time walking in the creek!

Rinsing out their shoes from the creek walk

Such a great day with a fabulous teacher, super parents and fun, fun kids!! Even though I couldn't walk beside him, I so enjoyed being there with him today. He even told me thanks for coming with him, so I think he was really glad that I was there, he just couldn't tell anybody :)

EASTER

I love this time of year...sunshine, warmer temps, flip flops and most importantly, Easter. Mason had his Easter egg hunt and party Friday to begin our fun-filled weekend. We went to the park to meet up with his teacher and classmates. He had the best time playing with his friends, hunting eggs, and eating yummy food. I am so glad that I am able to enjoy these days with my boys! Saturday we went to Mom and Dad's to cook-out, and hunt more eggs with Avery Grace. Sunday of course was church then back to Mom's for lunch and one more egg hunt before AG, Chris and Amanda headed back home to Georgia. We had a super time hanging out with the family. Happy Easter 2011!!!

7 weeks old

Does it get any sweeter than a gummy giggle????

Road Trip

Last weekend Cullen went on his first road trip to meet his new friend Amelia Klaire. Melissa and I had these sweet babies only one day apart. Our last babies (Mason and Anderson) were 3 weeks apart, so we have been through two pregnancies together. It was so nice to get these two together and spend some time catching up. We are looking forward to many more playdates with miss Amelia Klaire :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MASON!

We celebrated Mason's 4th birthday this weekend at the YMCA. He has been looking forward to his birthday ever since Braxton had his in January. He had a blast and several of his little buddies from school came as well as our sweet neighbor friends. I can hardly believe he is four already...it goes by so fast. He is so full of personality and we never know what he will say or do next. He definitely keeps us on our toes, but we love it. Happy Birthday Mason, we love you so much!!!!

A day with Mason

Mason and I enjoyed a day at the zoo yesterday. It was so nice to spend the day with just him. We do not get too many opportunities for one-on-one days so this was a super sweet treat. I loved every minute of it and had the best time with him.
Mason and mom on the train ride

One of his favorites and mine...the monkey's. We went back several times just to watch them.
He thought this big guy was pretty cool...yuk. The lions den...Mason was too busy people watching

1 month

Cullen had his 1 month check-up today. He weighes 11lbs. 7 oz. and was 23 inches long. He is growing as he should...and everything looked great. He did not like his PKU stick though and I believe they may have heard him screaming in the next town!! He calmed down rather quickly and fell asleep for 3 hours. Poor little baby wore himself out! We go back for more torture next month to get checked and shots. Fun times :)

Spring Ball

Braxton's team this year is the Colorado Rockies and they have dominated the past few games...let's hope they keep it going!! There are several boys on the team that Braxton has played with for several seasons, so they have a good time together. It is also a plus that the mama's and daddy's already know each other, it makes the games much more fun. Especially since we spend so much time together this time of year. They really are a great group of boys that can really play some baseball!! We are looking forward to a great season...GO ROCKIES!!
