Fun at the Mcwane Center

Today I took the boys to the Mcwane Center in Birmingham. This was our first time there and it was fabulous. The boys enjoyed the "scientific" stuff way more than I thought they would and I think their favorite part was getting to pet the sting-rays and sharks! This was a great way to stay cool on a hot summer day and a nice break from our daily trips to the pool!! Braxton petting the shark as it swam by
Inside the big fish.
The hurricane simulator
Driving the submarine.
Braxton helping Mason pull himself to the top.
WOW...its Mr. Potato Head!!
Braxton loved getting to fly the model airplane.
Maybe we can...if we try together.
It's a race!

I love days like this...

When these two entertain themselves for most of the day and play together so well. They very rarely ever play inside and we have so many toys in this house that never get used. These blocks they are playing with were my brother's when he was a kid. This day they suprised me with all their creativeness and made it an entire day inside the house!!

Summer Vacation

This year we traded in our week at the beach for a week at the lake...thanks to the oil crisis at our usual summer vacation. It was a nice change and we all had a great time. Some friends came during our stay and made it even more enjoyable. It is definitely something that we will do again. Hopefully really soon!! Hue and Hudson

Tradition

It is an Ingram tradition to get together every 4th of July at my Aunt and Uncle's house in Newnan. This year we were able to join in the festivities. The boys enjoyed the creek behind their house...they are really into fishing these days and had a great time seeing how many they could catch. We went to see the firework show in Peachtree City, and we were so close we had ashes falling on us like rain. The fireworks were beautiful and the weather could not have been better. Of course we cannot have a get together without some food, so we did a lot of eating as well!! It was a great weekend spent with family, can't wait til next year!
