Mason had his end of the year program tonight. He did a super job, and had so much fun. His class did a song about "Jack be Nimble" and the boys were Jack and the girls were candle sticks. He was so excited to sing his songs that he had learned and wanted to make sure that everyone was coming to watch him!!

Mother's Day/Baby Dedication
Mother's Day was a week ago and I am just now getting time to sit at the computer to do this post! I really would like to be in the bed sleeping but I knew that this week would be just as busy and I would have more to blog about so I need to get this one done...it was such a special day so I wanted to make sure that I remember it 10 years from now!
We had Cullen's baby dedication at our church Mother's Day morning and it was a sweet little service. Cullen did great, he started to wimper a little towards the end but daddy did a good job keeping it under control. He is definitely a blessing to us and a gift from God and we are so glad that we were chosen to be his parents.

You can see Cullen was not having a good hair day that day :)
After the church service we all came back to our house and I cooked lunch for our mom's and Brian's grandparents. Yummy spagetti bake, salad, and bread were on the menu for lunch and I think for someone who never cooks it turned out pretty well. I think I can handle doing it once a year and for such special people!!
The Piper/Sewell family
And for dessert we enjoyed a delicious cake in honor of Cullen's baby dedication...too bad he didn't get to eat any of it. I am sure he would have LOVED it!!
Sweet baby Cullen
And what is Mother's Day without those super special hand-made gifts???!!!! These are always my favorite and this year was no different. Mason made me a beautiful painting that I love!

2 month check
Cullen had his 2 month check up this week and he did super! He is growing and developing as he should. He weighs 13 lbs 7 oz., 24 inches long and is in the 90 percentile for both. He is oohing and cooing all the time and smiles at everyone...even the dog! He is rotten as can be and we wouldn't have it any other way!!
My Mom
Braxton had his mother's day program/tea at school today. It was the sweetest thing...they sang songs, recited poems, read a story and had a special guest to sing. Braxton's teacher's brother is an awesome singer and guitar player so that was a treat to get to hear him sing to the mommies. I do not think that there was a dry eye in that room. They all did a fabulous job and I am so proud to be Braxton's Mom!!!!!
Love, Braxton
After the program they gave us their writings that they had done for us...here is how Braxton's went:
Dear Mom,
Thank you for being nice and for drivin me to school. You are special because you love me. I like it when you smile. I think you are best at cooking. You are as pretty as a dandy lion. You are so smart, you even know my friends.Love, Braxton
I love reading the boys' writings, it is what I look for in thier folders on a daily basis. It is so funny the things that are important to them now as a child. It is the little things that make them happy, like me driving him to school. I am so glad that I am getting this extra time with all of my boys. This will be the best Mother's Day yet!
